I've got a music file and would like to measure the in-room response when this file is played. Is it possible to do this using REW? And, if not, then does anyone have a recommendation as to other software that could be used for this function?
Just got this program and it seems great. There is a problem though. I can't record any of the sweeps with a mic connected to my digi 002 on PC.
Is this a possible combination? I don't know how to record the sound as I cannot choose digidesign as my input...How can I fix it?!
New to REW and this site. Trying to use it to analyze my room.
I'm on a Mac Pro, I've been trying figure out how to calibrate sound card and get an AT4050 into sound card.

Hello all, I'm new to this community, thanks for having me! I'll be posting my 5 initial posts with
I will soon be downloading REW. I was wondering if it's possible to record a wave file on my
Zoom H4n and then import it to REW for analysis.
For some reason I am unable to measure above around 96db on my REW setup.
I have a ECM8000 and behringer USB card hooked up to a vista laptop. I use a little behringer mixer as phantom power.
When I tried, for fun, to read out some high SPL readings it seems my system insists it can only...
My current setup is as follows:

Two MFW-15 subwoofers

I just bought the Yamaha RX-Z7 to replace a Onkyo TX-SR876 that had that E2PROM error. As I understand it, the RX-Z7...
As the title states, could I use my Antimode 8033's mic for taking measurements in REW? My other question is could I use that mic without needing an external sound card / power supply for the mic? I'm looking to save as much money as I can, but would really like to take measurements with EQ and...
Very new to calibration and Home Theatre. I have a 7.2 config at home with a Onkyo 608 AVR. The only EQ I have done is through the AVR's Audeyssey 2EQ.
I am curious to see a bass response graph from my 2 subs, so was hoping to tinker with REW. I don't have a SPL meter yet. Can I use the...
I have a Galaxy CM-140 SPL meter and was wondering how to setup the meter for use with REW.
1. Should I put it to A or C weighting? Assuming I'm supposed to use C weighting, I should correspondingly tick the "C Weighted SPL meter" in REW right?
2. Should I set the meter to fast or slow?
Last year I calibrated my kit successfully without too many issues.
New laptop this year and Im having issues-
Im using the same soundblaster 24bit live external soundcard, but a new laptop and I just cant get rew to output anything through the soundcard. Playing music through it is no...
If I entered this post in a wrong forum, I do apologize. In that case just move or delete it.
This is a question for JohnM I think.

I have just purchased the XTZ-Room anaylzer kit, and i was just wondering wether if i can use XTZ-Mic with Rew instead of the room anaylzer software? is there a calibration file for the xtz-mic ? Thanks!
I'm looking to run REW and am searching for a USB soundcard to plug into my notebook. I see a lot of people using the SoundBlaster Live, but I think that model has been discontinued.
Checking Creative's website, I now see:
SoundBlaster X-Fi Go
Just wondering if anyone has...
I've got a Anti-Mode in my living room, but now want to use REW to calibrate my studio
I've got 3 Mics
SE electronics 2200t
ofcourse i can order a Behringer EMC8000, but i was wondering if there are any CAL files for above mics?
I am curious to know once the "set target level" has been adjusted, do you try to match it on your SPL meter once the equalization has taken place? ie. Measuring all channels for 75db and the sub to match SPL of the new target level?
Or does the house curve take that into account anyway...
Most A/V receivers come equipped with measuring microphones for automatic speaker setup. It is to be expected that these microphones are not linear and each receiver will match its own microphone response curve.
Assuming that the microphone curve is known, is it suitable for use with...
