How much more capable, if at all, is an IXL-15 vs the Shiva-X? If this Shiva-X sells, I am looking to replace it, but I don't want to go much bigger nor much more expensive. Is the IXL-15 an actual upgrade or is its Xmax going to hold it back vs the Shiva-X? Thanks!

Started to build my sub today, a simple 4cf sealed enclosure. I am useing the Shiva X as the driver and will power it with the EP-2500. It is not complicated but I will post some pics later.

These JBL subs are going pretty cheap dual 2 ohm Voice coils 3 inches in diameter. Is there any REAL difference in the graphs given room gain and EQ's that are available? The box is much smaller with JBL and the driver is cheaper. They seem like nice subs. If someone can explain the reason...

The 12" Shiva-X and 15" Tempest-X are now on the DIY Cable website. Both drivers have a one way Xmax of 27mm and a Qts of 0.42. The Shiva-X has a Fs of 20.4 Hz and costs $165. The Tempest-X an Fs of 18.5 Hz and costs $175. Kevin's forum at Audio Circle says the Shiva will be ready to ship next...
