    Tend to prefer EXTREMELY "tight" sounding bass and have found over the years that a lot of ported subs sound "boomy" and run out of steam too easily. That may be attributed to me not having them dialed in correctly but setting that aside... I'd like to build a pair of subs using the Ultimax 18...

    Hi guys I'm building a ported um 18 22 tuned to about 16hz in a 12cubic feet box. It seems to be less output than a pb13 ultra at 2metres from 20hz and up? Is this to be expected? Have I done something wrong?
