Is using wood glue without nails/screws enough for ported enclosures if clamped well? I am using slots for my build and was not planning on using screws, but will if you guys think it is best. A pic of my enclosure joints before glueing:

Hello all, I'm just getting into this, and am trying to use CARA for some room analysis. I have horizontal 2" faux wood blinds over a triple wide window in my theater room, and am wondering what the absorption coefficient or other acoustic data is for that combination. If anyone know this...

Ethan's website discusses wood panel traps as being effective at bass frequencies, but I don't see information regarding size of the panel vs. effective frequencies. Is the rule "as big as you can make it"? Is there guidance on panel sizing in Everest's book? What about the relative performance...

Is their a business out there that will cut wood for speaker building and ship it to you? It would seem to me that if someone had a CNC router table able to cut 4 x 8 sheets of MDF or Ply they could buy wood at wholesale and cut stock plans for DIY subs, speakers, etc. and also do custom work...

I was out to a local home builder's warehouse type store named Grossman's Bargain Outlet. They are like Home Depot and Lowes, but a bit smaller. Their prices on average were much better than the big boys though. (Making a note to check on their prices for Wilsonart Laminates) One item I ran...

I usually jump on the Garret Wade clamp sales myself but I have about 150 clamps. These ones are only 12" capacity so they will work for smaller enclosures. Keep an eye on the site for other clamp sales. I've bought several from them and they are always good for the price. I thought I'd pass...

See attachment. Has anybody used these, and how effective are they at controlling sound ? I'd like to use them because they're absolutely beautiful, but they're very expensive. I couldn't justify the cost if they're not all that acoustically effective. Any and all feedback welcome.
