I want to build 2 sub enclosures to mount in the wall. They would be 8' apart. I have room with my layout for enclosures to be 5" off the floor up to 20" wide and 18" high and up to 24" deep. They will have to be front firing and non ported if possiable.
I can build the enclosures with no problem with the propper design which is were I have no clue. What would be the propper size and bracing for this project. I want the subs to sound the best they can. I want to use 12" subwoofers and plate amps. I would be hooking them up as a left and right sub to my Yamaha rx-z11
My room will be 19'6"w were the subs would be installed. The lenght is 22' by 9' high after adding a couple of walls. The subs wold be about 4' from each corner on the front wall.
I have never built a sub before so any all help is welcome. I was looking at using Rythmik Audio kits the DS1200's with A370PE plate amps unless these would not be a good choice.:dontknow:

I think with the space I will have for the subs might limit me to using 12's It will depend on what size enclosure is required. The opening in the wall will be at the largest 20"wx18"h
I would prefer to use sealed enclosures because I would not have a idea of to configure the ports

I reworked my plans for the front wall a little. The enclosures can now be outside measurements of
24"wx18"hx24"d max. I would like to keep the price around 600 for each for the 2 subs not includings building materials. So what would be the best drivers and plate amps that you would recommend. What would be the ideal design for them. I am willing to go ported if they can be ported through the front.
I know the design of them plays a major role in the way they sound. This is were I get a little unsure and confused. I hope I am not asking for to much info. Thank you for any and all help.

With the plate amp I would like to stay as close as I can to the 600 for each. This fever is killing me. I might need to go to the doctor real soon.:dizzy:
