I recently acquired a 46" DLP t.v. that has an issue that the owner wanted nothing to do with. The set turns on just fine and displays a nice picture, however after approx five min. (varying timeframe) the screen distorts, almost as if it has zoomed in on itself. all the functions are zoomed in (like the menu and t.v. guide on all inputs) was just wondering if there was something that i should/could replace or if it should be taken in or if it's not even worth it. I took apart the back and saw nothing out of place. Also tried placing a fan directly on the components however that made no difference (doesn't seem heat related).

thank you

Sounds like a scaler problem, not likely cheap to fix.
