Hello guys i'm new here i want to say that i'm sorry because of my bad grammar if there's any ( im not from the us uk or australia ) i'm looking to build a 8x ultimax 18" setup, i dont really know which boxes to get so i'm looking for advice, they are mainly going to be used for home theatre, rap and edm music so in the 19-60hz range. I found some boxes on parts express but they are 4ft sealed are they any good for what i want to use them for? Also space is really not a problem i have a huge room, also any power amp recommendations? I was thinking about just getting one crown xti 6002. Thank you for any and all help in advance.

Might want to consider a professionally designed/engineered sub like the Power Sound Audio V1811. It's an 18" ported sub with a 1000W RMS amp already built in for only $1450USD. It'll sound better and play louder than most comparable DIY subs with no work/mess and it comes with free shipping (within US) 60 day trial period and 5 year limited warranty!

IF you really want to crack the drywall step up to Power Sound Audio V3611 (dual 18's) for only $2250USD with 2000W RMS amp. Either one of these are fantastic deal for what you get for the money.

Or Monoprice Monolith 15" THX 1000 Watt Powered Sub for $1300

Please stick with DIY. There's no point in paying the extra money for a retail sub.

I've always been a fan of this enclosure design. 18.5Hz tune is right on the money. If you're going to use these for movies, make sure you get a MiniDSP for HPF and smoothing the room response. Add 4x iNuke6K and you're likely to do jail time at some point. And if you happen to be made of money, check out the Stereo Integrity HST-18. However, you could get the same results with just 4 of those, so it may work out to around the same price.

Make sure to measure your Ultimax drivers when you get them. These are produced in China. I have returned two units because they do not meet their specification (not even close).
