I'm trying to take some REW measurements on my subs and my amp keeps shutting down. As soon as I get the spl up to 75db which is about -12 on the Denon 4308ci master volume is shuts off. I just took measurements with exactly the same setup a couple days ago with no issues. Now today, I can't get the volume up to where it needs to be without the think sutting off. The amp isn't hot, I have no idea what is going on. Any ideas?

finally found it. the wires to the main speaker that i disconnected were touching.

Touching speaker cables is always a favourite in this scenario. Glad you found it :T

When I have an issue like that, I always check all the cables first, and its almost always the problem.
