If the amp has coax input, of course you can.In the absence of decent RCA audio cables to connect a device (e.g. CD player) to an amp, could you use digital coax cables?
Barring pathological examples (e.g. $10, malfunctioning, "audiophile", etc. CD player), or imaginary ones, or "I heard it I said so" type anecdote, etc., no audible to human ears quality effects are likely. If so what effect on the quality of the signal is likely?
