Found burnt place around where the FERRITE CORE's (Part #411D009020) are attached to the board. Does any one know what they actualy do? I'm replacing the IC circuit, along with new fuses, resistors and some caps.

Thanks,
Frank

Ferrites are used to introduce impedance at high frequencies. Usually to filter noise. They should not get hot. Something else caused the thermal damage.
