Where would be the best place to buy Router Bits ??

Depending on brand (which i prefer Freud) i would look at Amazon or Ebay.:T
I have never built a sub, but I do a lot of wood working and I buy most of my stuff at Rockler. They have deals from time to time and you can get items at quite a discount if you watch for these deals.
Rockler is a great woodworkers supply shop, that's another place to keep in mind. By searching the web it's amazing the amount of dealers there are and the deals you can get so shop around abit and see if you find what your looking for and for at the best price.:T
I really like MLCS (http://www.mlcswoodworking.com/).

Good prices, free shipping, good return policy.
How do you find the quality of these bits ,do they last long ??
I have no complaints about the quality of them. I've had one bearing fall apart, but I don't know if that was really a quality issue. I suspect I was running the bit too fast -- and it's possible MDF dust got in the bearing.
I checked out the site you linked Jim and it is a wood workers dream site. They have a Router lift that a want somethin feirce.

As far as the bearings go on your bits i would assume dust was sucked into them causeing them to drag and overheat.
Try these
I'm going to order a couple of those Grizzley's on monday they seem to have a bit with the longest cutting length i've found. Thanks for the site.:T

Glad I could do something helpful today ;)

I was also running the bits way faster than recommended (helps when you read...). I think they're supposed to be sealed bearings? But I've also seen bearing oil - which I've never used (and probably should). I'm no router expert (is any woodworker ever an expert at anything??? There's an obscene amount of information just about table saw blades)

I should say that the MLCS carbide spiral upcut bit that I've used seems to last forever - even after a little bit of abuse. I've cut dozens of holes - and they work beautifully. I bought a second one - but the first one is still going strong.

I'm not downplaying Freud or any of the other quality bits - you do get what you pay for. MLCS is a good value though.
Yes they should be sealed bearings but not all are. I wish MLCS carried the bit i use cause i would order one in a heartbeat on the otherhand as soon as funds become available for that Routerlift i'm all over it.:T

Just ordered all my bits from this place, Thanks !
+3 on the mlcs bits, our main cabinet maker loves them.
Canadian Tire has Maximum bits on for 70% off this week. (and some Mastercraft too). Probably not as good quality, but they may serve your purpose.
This thread gave me a good reason to go buy the 1" straight cut I always forget to order. Got the Katana version from MLCS, just cuz it's prettier than their regular line. :)
