Administrators and Moderators who show a commitment to continue year to year in their administrating and moderating positions... and are able and willing to go above and beyond in their participation... will share in a bonus totaling twenty-five percent (25%) of the annual net profits of the LLC, as determined by our accountant. This bonus will be split among non-owner forum administrators and moderators. Tenure and post count are used in determining bonus amounts. Tenure is counted from the first day of the month in which you are placed as a moderator, however, your posts will NOT be counted for the first twelve (12) months of moderating. The month following the end of your twelfth month, we will start counting your posts for the purpose of calculating the bonus, and thereafter posts are recounted for each calendar year. As part of the bonus qualification, you must maintain an average of no less than fifty (50) forum posts per month, and must be actively moderating at the time we payout the bonus, which is typically prior to April 15 annually. Once we calculate bonuses, if any bonus is less than $250 for any particular staff member, it will not be paid and will be added back to the pool for redistribution to those moderators whose bonus exceeds $250. Therefore, it stands to reason that most moderators will not qualify for participation in the bonus until the end of your second or third full year of moderating. It also stands to reason that those moderators with consistently lower post counts may never qualify for a bonus. Please keep in mind that this bonus is not something we intend to be an enticement for moderating at Home Theater Shack, and it should not be relied upon for maintenance income or family provisions. Moderating is a non-paid position... and this bonus is designed for those moderators who show a commitment to continue in their moderating positions... and are able and willing to consistently excel in their participation. To state it bluntly, if you are here for a bonus, you are here for the wrong reasons, as this is not intended to be a paid position. However, if you enjoy moderating and are fortunate enough to have extra time to make a deep commitment to participating you will receive the benefit of participating in the bonus. It is an extra benefit and it is not guaranteed. There is nothing inherently wrong with a moderator who is simply not able to participate as frequently as others and therefore may not qualify for a bonus, yet they enjoy moderating to the extent they are able. We certainly do not want any of our moderators to feel inferior because they do not qualify. We realize not all moderators have as much time to devote to moderating as others, yet they still moderate because they enjoy it. Whether you qualify for a bonus or not, you seriously need to enjoy moderating.

Certain administrators and moderators who are designated as such and own, manage or work for a business that has agreed to purchase, barter and/or trade-out advertising, or otherwise have some sort of advertising and/or financial agreement with the forum, will not qualify for this participation in profits. The final decision on who will participate will be at the sole discretion of the owners.
