No reason why the one on eBay won't work. :T

I use one that I bought on ebay that looks exactly like that (I think I paid $1 or less for it and free shipping from China). Just remember to plug the cord labelled OUT into the port labelled IN on the BFD and vice-versa. Also, on my laptop running Windows7 64-bit, I had to install another manufacturer's driver to get it to transmit data to the BFD even though the built-in drivers from Windows 7 did install and it appeared that everything was working but the only problem was there was no transmission of data. See my post http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums/rew-forum/29765-newbe-needs-recommendation-midi-interface.html#post269619Hi,
Searching high and low for an Edirol UM-1EX, but really having no luck, so wondering about alternatives.
Would anyone know if I could get away with this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-to-MIDI-Keyboard-Interface-Cable-for-PC-Vista-Mac_W0QQitemZ250600559454QQcategoryZ123445QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DDLSL%252BSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D8%26pmod%3D200514411568%252B200514411568%26po%3D%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5594891129710652373#ht_2461wt_1137
clearly much cheaper interface?
Thanks!
