Can't find an Edirol UM-1EX - could I use this??

Thanks Wayne. I'd assumed the more expensive Edirol was popular for a reason, but I guess it shouldn't make any difference.
I use one that I bought on ebay that looks exactly like that (I think I paid $1 or less for it and free shipping from China). Just remember to plug the cord labelled OUT into the port labelled IN on the BFD and vice-versa. Also, on my laptop running Windows7 64-bit, I had to install another manufacturer's driver to get it to transmit data to the BFD even though the built-in drivers from Windows 7 did install and it appeared that everything was working but the only problem was there was no transmission of data. Great Dent, thanks for the advice. Now I don't have to keep hunting for an Edirol..
