I have been doing a lot of reading on REW but can't seem to find an answer in writing to my situation concerning my gear to get me out of the gate.
I have a HTPC connected to my AV receiver through my motherboard via HDMI.
My auzentech sound card doesn't have a analog line in. However my Hauppauge tuner card has rca audio L/R lines in. Audio is streamed to the sound card.
Obviously, the main application with REW is overwhelmingly geared towards laptops but I'm wondering if I can make this work with what I have.
Unless I'm missing something, the point is simply get the SPL in line with the software - receiver -speakers
So I'm pretty sure I can get the signal cleanly into the HTPC for processing, but will I have problems with the HDMI out (into the receiver)?
Or is there a analog/digital conversion glitch somewhere in this equation somewhere that I don't see?
