Hello shack people , I need some assistance with a new DIY sub in regards to amplifier mods. The enclosure is 2.3 cu ft with 3"port 15"long floor firing. The BASH 300 is clipping at higher levels and now need to switch to the 500 for more head room. Can someone calculate the mods needed to the BASH 500 for this size enclosure with the SDX10. Bob is waiting for the numbers before he ships the unit.

Thx

If you're clipping the BASH300, you're probably going to clip the BASH500. You're going to get less than 3dB of increased output with the step from 300 watts to 500 watts...barely a noticeable increase.

The BASH amps, at least when shipped from P-E, include a chart with the resistor values needed to hit a given Fc and Q for the rumble filter. To match the stock BASH300, the 500 needs to be set to Fc=18Hz, Q=1.0. The charts, including default values, for both amps are also on the the P-E website.
