Hello. I am a singer-songwriter-studio engineer, of sorts - been signed four times but no real financial success. I designed and built my home with a small studio where the garage might have been (if I had one). Over the years this area became a workout/storage area (yes, I am married), and my "control room" migrated to the inside of the drum booth (in feet, 7W by 7L by 8H with a 1 ft thick layer of insulation behind cloth and burlap barrier covering entire ceiling). I need to decide whether I can stay in the drum booth via additional acoustic treatment (fairly easy), move outside the drum booth and treat that area (not so easy), or tear the drum booth down and treat the entire 8H by 12W by 21L room (hardest). So I am faced with the same sort of problems and decision matrix as that faced by the purist Home Theatre enthusiast. My hope is to post some REW results and get some suggestions on what I might need to do, in order to get an accurate sound field I can trust.

I continue to continue. I am doing solo stuff now where I do everything, vocals, guitar, bass, keys, drums (programming not real). I was signed in now defunct bands: Florida (what a stupid name that was), Double Agent (rock band with producer/promoter in Nashville), and Mournblade (with Cream/Rough Trade Records in Germany). Right now I have a licensing deal (which is going nowhere so far) which is why I need to be able to hear sufficiently accurate to master at a professional level.
