Hey guys. i have just aquired a used but great condition pioneer vsx-03txh receiver and bdp-05fd bluray player. I got both for 100$. I thought it was a good price. I have been wanting to do a small 3.1 setup in the bedroom.

But what i wanted to know is what would be the preferred receiver for the living room as I have a denon avr 3038ci that i'm using in there at the moment. I have been looking around for reviews and it seems like the pioneer is a decent receiver in any location. As far as sound quality what would you guys end up using? I know its kinda up to me as far as how it sounds but I always like to hear your thoughts about the difference of units.

Thanks!

Both receivers are very close but the pioneer has a slight edge over the Denon in my opinion.

No, more the features. Both room correction systems are very capable and will get the job done. I also think the pioneer is newer.
