I have set REW 4.11 up, and everything looks ok, and I am testing a sub.

The problem that I see is I do a "Measure from 0-1khz, and then I switch to "Generator" Sine Wave, Frequency tracks the cursor, and the results according to the SPL meter are different. I do not make any changes between the two tests.

I then set the SPL meter to match one point on the graph, and try other points, and there are seemingly random substantial differences.

What am I doing wrong?

My setup is Toshiba Notebook running XP SP3 with RS Meter as Mic, internal Realtek sound card, Mic in, headphones out.

And indeed they should be different.

You are comparing apples and oranges.

REW creates an impulse response by means of a logarithmically swept sine wave, and the frequency response and all other graphs are created as a result from this impulse.. This cannot be compared to the level received from a single frequency, long duration sine wave.
