This subwoofer is built like a tank. I couldn't believe how heavy it was until I tried to pick it up. The shape of the frequency response is really good. Slowly sloping response matches well with room gain. Max output is rather good for such a small sub, though the 105 dB sweep produced a lot of distortion due amp clipping. With a more powerful amp the 105 dB sweep could have been much more cleaner and probably even compression-free. At lower output levels the THD stays really low at all frequencies. THD consists mainly from 2nd order component which makes it even less audible. Group delay rises pretty rapidly below 30 Hz, but it shouldn't be that audible. Spectral decay shows some ringing around 20 Hz, but it's still better than average. Spectral contamination tests shows better than average performance and I'm pretty sure the 100 dB level could have been possible with a more powerful amp. A really nice looking sub with a respectable performance. It also has an external amp which can be switched easily.
