Wow, who would have thought something like this coming from EA. I personally hope the CoD model bombs big time, but we all know it will be kids getting cash from parents to pay for it that will keep it going. The parents dont really know what the money is going on, they are just buying a game for their children, and the kids dont mind because they arent paying.
I actually agree with their mentality on this, but as well all know, they still get some extra blood anyway with DLC. I dont mind DLC to a degree, but only as long as its VFM (which I dont think it is a lot of the time), and planned DLC befoe a game is released really gets my goat. Look at Forza 4, they already have the next 6 DLC packs ready and the game isnt out yet, and they are already selling it and offering, ahem, 'special offers' on that DLC.
Online codes and DLC are already boosting income for all these poor poverty stricken companies, and subscription based games should be restricted to a very small sector like the one WoW lives in.
