Hi all,

As you know, I just finished building an in wall subwoofer with 2 10" eD SQ10's (Don't worry, I;ll update that thread with reviews as soon as my house finishes in December)

I did just get an email from eD that they are clearing out the 16Ov.2 D4 (the D2 will stay on as a product) for $95.

This seems like a killer deal to me...

Mike P. or anybody care to share any design ideas for 2 of these bad boys in a box? Or am I better building 2 single boxes for better room placement?

If you don't mind a big box. Each would go ina 11 cu.ft. (net) box tuned to 20 hz. Porting would be either three 4 inch ports or one 6 inch port. It will take 600 watts with a subsonic filter at 17 hz. Both subs together can be wired for a 4 ohm load so an amp that could be bridged to 1200 watts into 4 ohms would do.
You could go smaller like 7 cu.ft. tuned to 20 hz but you'll give up about 3 db at 20 hz and below.

Thanks Mike.

Any other subs out there that could have the same for the bang for the buck?

If I pair this with an EP2500 and an eD eQ.2 would it be a killer combination for ~$690 (2x $95 subs + 1x $100 for eQ2 + $80 for 2x 4x8 1"MDF + $320 for EP2500)

Should I try and copy the eD A7-350 sub design? I belive it's about 8cuft

Not for that price. As for power, check out the EP1500. I think it's 1400 watts bridged into 4 ohms.
The eD A7-350 is about 5.25 cu.ft. net after all deductions are made for the sub, port and bracing. Too small for the 16Ov.2 D4 if the purpose is for HT.

Account for shipping, I was looking at these too UNTIL....
95 + 95 + 115 for shipping. So that's about $155/ sub
Shipping on the 13o's were a lot cheaper ($50 to my area)...**** I wanted to GO BIGGER TOO

Shiping, $95 to me *ouch* Hmmm, I figured shipping would be free...it was for the SQ10's however those are lightweights...

Shipping is included in eD's non-sale items. Once things go on sale like the 8EHQS, 12EHQS, 13kv.2, 13Ov.2, and now the 16Ov.2, it is "sale price + shipping". If you check out the D2 version of the 16Ov.2, then shipping is included in their price.
