Hi everyone. I'm new on this forum and just did a search for this sub but didn't see any detailed builds. I have a dual 2 ohm one sitting here and would like to build a box tomorrow for it, it possible. Since their website is not only down, but it's also setup more for car audio, can you guys help me come up with a box design? I played with winisd but got nowhere.

I'm looking for a ported design that is not too huge and will belt out tunes on music and movies well. I have a channel of a inuke 6000 dsp to power it with.

eD went out of business about 2 years ago, which is why there website is down. You'll probably have a hard time finding many build threads either way; they used to sell a lot more finished subs then they ever did drivers, so my guess is not too many people will have used them for their DIY stuff. The info you provided might be sufficient for someone with WinISD experience to help though.

26 cu ft!? :yikes: No wonder nobody built DIY subs with eD drivers. Who wants a wooden refrigerator in their living room?

It lends itself to a sonotube design, assuming the driver sag is within limits. Or possibly built into a raised front stage...

Contact this guy: http://desmoines.craigslist.org/ele/5070313752.html

He bought a ton of eD cabinets when they went out of business and has been unloading them on Craigslist. I bought several of these surround cabinets to eventually load to match my LCRs.

He may have some of their sub cabinets that, at the very least, he might give you the specs on so you can see what they were doing with them.

Yeah forget that , maybe build a small 3-6cu foot sealed sub and try it out?:hsd::hsd:

Does this driver have XMAX for sealed build? or not

I'll probably try a basic, small cube sealed box and see how it sounds.... I have plenty of power with one channel of a 6000dsp (about 2300 watts rms).
