Hi all! I'm thinking that by the price of a plate amp plus shipping (final price around 200$ ~ 250$) I could go for an external amplifier that could be reused in the future. I see that many people uses behringer amps here and they seem powerful. There's also listed some DAP Audio and Samson amps (I don't know anything about them):

Do they have lowpass filters and highpass filters? They dont's seem subwoofer specific amps.

Which brand and/or model can you recommend me for < 300$?

Thank you. :jump:

Look into a Peavy PV 900, its a great amp and has a Built-in 150 Hz/18 dB/oct subwoofer crossover with TRS output. They can also be setup for bi-amping and easly linked together. It may be outside if your price range (~$300) depending on what you have access to. I have had a plate amp for a few years and its alright, I have gone to rack mounted and will not go back. I have a Samson EQ that I am very happy with, but I am not sure about their amps.
