Hi folks,

I'm trying to import a frequency response file into REW, but I am having some issues. The file imports successfully, but REW graphs values that aren't in the file and larger than the max value in the file. I'm a bit confused by this. Any thoughts as to why this may be occurring?

The problem is with the dramatic variations in sample frequency spacing at some points in the file, from a few hundred Hz apart to just 1 Hz apart in some places. That very irregular spacing causes problems for the interpolator that generates intermediate sample values. Here is the file with a few entries commented out to provide more regular sample spacing.

Thank you for the quick response. I've been able to correct frequency spacing in Excel, and it solved the issue.

Good to hear. I also worked out some modifications for the interpolation routines to cope with such variability in the sample spacing so future releases will not show those artefacts.
