Hello!

This is my first post here and I'm relatively new to this area of hi-fi. I have a MiniDSP, UMIK-1 and a computer which has REW. The problem is that the graphic interface goes haywire in REW.

Here's some screenshots explaining what's happening:

Some windows work better than others. It's especially the EQ windows and the "Capture" windows that causes the most problems.

I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I have an Intel I7 920 CPU and a Nvidia GTX 660Ti graphics card.

This problem is really annoying since I can't really use the EQ-window at all. What might be causing it? I have tried googling some but it seems like I am the only one having these issues. I have tried running it in various compatibility modes but that doesn't help...

Usually a problem with the graphics card driver, this thread has some other examples. Updating to the latest driver often fixes things, though there was recently a case where the latest graphics driver was causing the Java runtime to crash and rolling back to the previous version cured it. Disabling some graphics hardware accelerations might also have an impact.

Hmm, funny that you mention Java. I was trying to use an online room mode calculator today which required Java and it said my Java version was outdated. I updated it and the room mode calculator worked. I opened up REW now after reading your post and it seems everything is working fine now. Great!
