HD radio is supposed to have better sound qualities for FM and especially for AM. But currently it appears this feature is only available in table top radios. Does anyone know of a surround sound receiver that supports HD radio, or if any of the manufacturers plan on supporting this?

To me this seems like a no-brainer, but yet the receiver manufacturers have been slow to respond. This is especially surprising since you'd think they are always looking for an edge over the competition.

There are very good HD tuners as component separates for about $200. Look for one that has digital output compatible with the digital audio input of your receiver. The Rotel RT-1084 is very good and costs $700.
