Hi,

I juste "equalized" my Sunfire MKII Sub with Emotiva UCM-200 preamp using REW and a RadioShack SPL. I know, i have dead zone. I do not know how to get ride of it, but removing the peaks help a lot !

Avant is before, Après is after equalizing.

REW is a real nice tool !

Welcome to the Home Theater Shack. I'm glad REW is working so well for you.

Hi Red44, welcome to HTS.

Due to the Q of the notch (narrow) and low frequency, coupled to the fact that you may have a RS meter in a single spatial position, using a steady state signal....I would not be concerned aurally.
If you visually want it to go away, you could introduce another low frequency source (or sources), so that they spatially average out the notch.
How does it sound?

cheers

Welcome to the Shack, Fred. Have you looked into getting a MiniDSP to even out your subs response?
