Now, I will have to wait until I hear back from my layer to be sure (who I had to send the forum rules to to so he could evaluate my posts in the future), but hopefully nothing bad will happen if I just say hi

I'm a DIY guy: I make stuff that, apparently, should be bought from the store. I am studying mathematics, which leaves little time for this.

Anyone know how exactly I go about pinning my location on the map? I keep going to the map page but I can't find a control.

Also, how do I get rid of these smilies? There are like 84 smilies on this page and there is a "More" button. I would like zero. Is there an option?

You have to have at least 5 posts to pin the map (that's in the Forum Rules :neener: )

No way to remove smilies, but you only have to look at them when posting a New Thread or using Go Advanced for replying to posts. :nerd:

Here is the solution: get a piece of 8.5" x 11" and some tape; then tape it at the lower 1/3" of your screen ... good bye smilies :bigsmile: . :rofl2:

I know about the five posts thing. I tried after I got more than five posts. I'll give it some time to register.

Actually I just deleted all of the smilies from every page thanks to Ad Block Plus. You can do this by adding the filter " http://www.hometheatreshack.com/forum/images/smilies/*.gif " the wonderful Firefox addon.
