Honestly? No idea. I don't have any experience with Aussie paints. And I don't think Don does either. Only one way to find out...
Not necessarily. We have the new AAA pretty much figured out. It just takes a different base. :T
Welcome to HTS!
Honestly? No idea. I don't have any experience with Aussie paints. And I don't think Don does either. Only one way to find out...Hi, I was just wondering if you could help with a couple of questions regarding the black widow paint mix.
1. I accidentally bought the Dulux Wash and Wear 'Low sheen' tinted with Bermuda Beige 427-2 rather than the Wash and Wear 'Flat'. Would this significantly affect the performance?
Not necessarily. We have the new AAA pretty much figured out. It just takes a different base. :T2. Given that 'Auto Air Aluminum Fine have rendered the formula for making Black Widow™ useless', should I take the gamble that this supplier: airbrushmegastore . com (the only Australian supplier I could find) stock the older versions of the auto air aluminum fine or just start over and choose a different paint mix?
Thank you for your time
The base will be determined by whether you get the new or old AAA-F. The old requires a base paint tinted to PPG 'Bermuda Beige' while the new requires a base paint that is tinted to a neutral gray. Thanks for your reply :jump:. Perhaps I should just buy the AAA first and then think about the base. What base should I use for the new AAA? Do you have any idea whether it'd be available in Australia?
Just ask your paint store if they can color match Benjamin Moore colors. They should know what you're asking. To be honest I know absolutely nothing about paints and have no idea whether Benjamin Moore is accessible. I'll try asking.
Yep. :TSo I should just mix AAA-F with the flat white base (without tinting it grey)?
I think it would be fine. :Twould this http://www.masters.com.au/product/902358554/dulux-wash-wear-interior-paint-flat-vivid-white-1l suffice as the base paint?
Actually, I think the matt finish would work fine as well.Hey, well according to the guy I spoke to at Bunnings, Dulux don't make the flat white version anymore so I had to order it online. I received my order yesterday but they gave me the Matt instead :explode: so now I'm waiting for them to exchange it. I'll keep you updated![]()
