Hi there. I inherited a free Mitsubishi WS-65909 with the infamous green blinking light. I replaced the faulty capacitors and it worked. I then enjoyed my TV for about a year until I got the blinking light again. I replaced the capacitors again. It worked again, but then a few weeks later, I got a new problem.

There are 3 CRT screen and the green one looks like the attached picture (it's just static in the picture). There is a weird arc across the top. The other two screen appear to be normal, just the green one is acting up. Does anyone know what I need to replace? I'm competent with soldering, just not diagnosing what is wrong!

Thanks.

I did some Google searches, found plenty of links about convergence issues..

If I understand correctly, that image is of the green tube itself?

Just curious if the tube itself could be bad -- or the driver circuitry.

Yes, this is a picture of the green tube itself. I'm sure the tube could be bad. At that point I would question if the TV is worth fixing.
