Greetings I am new to the forum, writing to you from Santa Cruz CA.
Working on a stereo project and am running REW on a Macbook Air which might not be ideal.
I am using a Dayton Audio OmniMic USB microphone.
I am trying to run basic frequency response and distortion but have an issue where the magnitude results appear to be combfiltered and when I step through the areas where the dips are using the dignal generator- they are not there. I have tried just going near field to negate reflective paths but I get the combing all the time. I tired smoothing to some effect but the results still have these dips. The mic is not clipping I believe.
Any guidance on what to reset appreciated,
cruzgord

Are you driving one speaker at a time or both speakers? If both are active that will cause comb filtering.

Are you measuring with multiple sweeps or a single sweep? Need to use single sweeps when the output and input are not on the same soundcard (such as when using a USB mic for input).

Thank you for your reply, and the multiple sweeps issue you pointed to is the likely cause, I will check and let you know and thanks again.
