Welcome, Ron. Look to the DIY Repair forum and find the Convergence Repair sticky. Read the first ten posts very carefully. Then post a new thread for your problem in the Hitachi forum.

Dennis, we have dozens, probably hundreds, of folks who have repeired their own sets with this very common problem. If it is the common STK outputs and resistors, a person with a little soldering ability adn a manual for doing the convergence alignment can easily DIY these. Other problems that involve more troubleshooting and equipment are not good DIY projects, but these are usuall symptom-repair fixes that many can do.
