Hi everyone,

I have a 57 inch HLR model set with the following symptoms. When I turn it on there is a pause for several seconds and then a click. The lamp then lights and the color wheel which I already replaced spins, but I get no image on the screen at all.
The lamp indicator flashes on the front of the set and the lamp stays on for a minute or so and then the set shuts down and I get the standby/temp indication on the front.

Any ideas?

I received this set with these problems and would like to repair it for a gaming set.

what the full model number? if it's an HLR5667W then it's most likely the digital board. then it also is only a 56" and not a 57"
Your correct the model is HLR5667. So you think it's the digital board? I did some research and it looks like I can put pressure the the chip and possibly get it to work right?
Has anyone found these boards for a reasonable price yet, or a better repair for them?

correct. your 56" should power on with pressure on the dnie chip but the issue is the problom comes back. if that works we found a guy in MI that reflows the solder. we are waiting for corepuncher to get his back to make sure the reflow works. look at the link about the 61" model of this tv. size 42" up to 61" of the HLR___67w all use the same digital board. I had the same issue with my 50" mine wouldn't power up. had the same issue you have.

replacement board cost 188 dollars after you send in your board for a 50 dollar core charge. the reflow cost 39.95 if it works.

Thanks For the info. I just tried putting pressure on the chip and this is the outcome. The lamp comes on and the lamp light flashes on the front. I get no picture or menu or sound, just a very low lighted screen.
Is this similar to the problems others are having? It seems like most people get some sort of picture and sound.

Thanks Rob
