Hi,

I have a Pioneer PRO610HD, which is awaiting new STK chips.

I want to pull & check the HV deflection board for bad solder, while I have the set apart. Is there some sort of trick involved (a tool perhaps) in removing the CRT anode leads from the HV distribution block?
These seem to be in pretty tight, and I don't wait to give them a good yank, after a nasty experience with a lawnmower spark plug wire (wrong end came out...)

I do not want to remove the cups from the CRT's, as these still have the original sealant on them.

Thank you for any advice.

IIRC, you twist and pull. No tools needed for sure. Some of them you have to push down while twisting to get them to pop out, but I am drawing a bit of a blank on that set right now.

Thanks again, lcaillo, I'll keep trying. BTW, the lead on the flyback is the one that turns to unlock. No problem with that one....
