Howdy - Very generic question with yet no real modelling done;

How suitable is using a single PR18 with the Tempest-X2? Can I get away with it or is it just too close for comfort to skimp on the extra unit for 'real-world' overhead? I would be looking to tie it with a steep subsonic filter to stop the passive over excurting. (Is that even a real word?)

Thanks chaps; interested to hear your thoughts.

Kinda depends.....how much power are you going to put in it? How big is your box? The extra pr will give you a safety margin if your are gonna use more power(over 500-600 watts). It will also balance the enclosure if you put them on opposite sides of the enclosure to offset the moving mass during strong excursions.Hope that helps.

You have to model it and see what you need. The balancing of forces is a good idea. It isn't always necessary, but if you put a lot of mass on a PR, it can cause a lot of rocking forces.
