this is where properly seting up your speakers is a must. Sweet spots can be widened by speaker placement, sound absorbtion, distance from walls, receiver settings, etc. Keep reading, and you will find more info. I would think that the Martin's would have a wider dispersion than you experienced. Have fun, Dennis
