Mornin'

Trying to troubleshoot a problem with my WD where the picture just seems very very 'dim', for lack of a better term, and i'm trying to see if there's anything in the service menu that could be keeping the picture from being fully functional.

I've found multiple codes around for Mitsu TVs, but none of the codes seem to work, furthermor, my remote doesn't seem to have a "menu" button anywhere, apart from TV Menu and Device Menu, neither of which work.

Is there something i'm doing wrong? I have the correct remote for this set, yet the service codes i found out on the web doesn't seem to do anything when entered. Is it something about needing to enter the service menu code RIGHT at power on? What am I missing here?

Thanks In Advance

MENU, 2,4,7,0 gets you into the option menu. Select initialize and press ENTER. This will set all consumer adjustables to OOB condition and refresh the EEPROM. If that does not help, try going to the service menu with MENU, 2,4,5,7 and restore the backup factory data. That will reset all service level data to OOB condition.

None of this will likely help, as the most likey problem is a bad lamp.

That's the problem. On the Remote, there is no "MENU" button. Am I just an idiot and i'm missing something obvious?

Thanks for the reply

2457 doesn't give any options toward any kind of reset. Do you happen to have a link to a list of service codes or others I could try? My efforts on google have been fruitless.

Thanks for the help.
