Ok I'm wondering how to actually seperate these two boards. Again its the TOSHIBA 42H83 these boards are joined together by three things can anyone tell me how to take them apart.

Added more pics hope this helps? I just don't want to damage the board any further.

I would think that they are held on to each of the boards by either solder or those plastic pins. looking at the photo I will assume that it is plastic. In my experience you can squeeze the pin on the other side so you can pull the thing out. Due to the quality of the photo I can't really tell what the things really are so I can't really suggest much else.

Thanks I appreciate you. Will try to seperate this morning because I would really love to repair this set. Thanks again!!
One down

Alright it seems the blue joiner (jumper) is removed by lifting in the center and pulled from both boards. The two white ones are not as simple still need help. Any more suggestioned welcomed.

Victory I quess as usual comes with the persistance. These clips seperate by placing a pen, or something similar under the and gently lifting !! Hope someone else can use this info so they wont have to wonder or fret as to what should be done.
Digging up a somewhat old thread, but for a good reason. This really needs to be renamed. I was looking for help with this very same question for my Toshiba 50HDX82, and only checked this thread on a whim. "Wonder what kind of thread starts with 'How To'..."

In any case, thank you very much manstoblame to posting your follow-up with a picture. You saved me a big headache, and now my board is out on the bench. Which leads me to a problem of how to remove a couple extra boards to get at my ICs, but that's a topic all its own.

Thanks again.
To get those clips off, I usually take a small flat blade screw driver and lift up on the center tab.
