I am assuming

Hello Everyone,
First off I would like to Thank You for looking at my post! Now to get to the problem I have a Sony KP-51WS510. I just got it from a friend and it seems to have this problem with the screen. I'm assuming it has something to do with the convergence issues. I like to work on things and if I can fix this tv myself I would like to try it! I am posting pics of the screen so you can see what it is doing. There is no noise of any kind coming from the tv and there is sound. And now by looking at it more closely I see that the red is off and there is a dip in the screen in the top left corner. The red has a bow in the screen like it is frowning on the screen! Does anybody have any ideas?

I read over those ten pages and I can adjust the colors to a certain degree but in the end I will get those pic that I have above. I run the Magic focus or auto focus and it fixes it some but like I said it gives me the screens I have posted above!

If there is even just one color that cant move in one direction, you need convergence chip's. I just did 2 Sony KP's with in 2 weeks time, it's common for just about every CRT projector.
There will be many yellow pico fuses on this TV, several (6 IIRC) on the convergence board and at least 2 on the power supply board.

EDIT: But it is a little weird it's only effecting the corner of your screen, it's almost like there is a magnet next to the green CRT tube.

Very common to have such an effect with a bad convergence IC. Like said above, if there is one direction that you have no control you likely have a bad output IC.

I did the focus thing and it fixed the screen a little bit. And I could see a good picture except for the topr left corner! I don't remember if it was green or red! But since you said something it does look like a magnet is close to the screen and throwing it off a lil bit. Since you have done 2 in weeks time, should I just get a Convergence repair kit and just replace all the chips or fuses that need replacing. And another thing is there some kind of video or manual telling ones would most likely need changing? And by the way Thanks for help and looking at my post!

The right way to do it is to replace both STK392-560's. Chances are good you have at least one blown pico fuse. Just set your ohm meter on continuity and find each pico fuse and check it (3.5 amp for the STK outputs and a couple 5 amps on the power supply board.)
You'll also have to ohm out the larger resisters next to the STK's under and around the heat sink.
