Are you planning on mounting the drivers opposite in the baffle?

You'll feel the really deep bass much more than hear it. Without a box behind the sub the back wave essentially cancels the front wave leaving you with hardly any output. I wouldn't worry about it. What are you using for your source and amp?

The cleanbox will only help if the signal level needs boosting. It won't compensate for any rolloff in response.

Like I said above output was nil.

Ah gotchya. I misunderstood and thought it was only the lower frequencies where you were having troubles.
