Hello all, I'm new to this community, thanks for having me! I'll be posting my 5 initial posts with
actual questions.

I will soon be downloading REW. I was wondering if it's possible to record a wave file on my
Zoom H4n and then import it to REW for analysis.

Thanks.

While I'm not a REW guru, I didn't think you could import wave files into it.
If that is correct, that would be awsome!

there's lots of times that I'll want to do real time readings, but if I could make recordings of rooms with a digital recorder, and then import and study them at home, that would be lots easier than having to lug around the laptop.

Has anyone tried this?

REW only supports the import of impulse responses (as .WAV or .AIFF) generated by some other measurement package, you can't record a measurement sweep and have REW do the analysis later. A capability along those lines is on the development list, but it is not near the top.

Thank you John. Although I'd love to see the above implemented,The impulse file import still handy
feature. Think that I can record those with the IVIE that I have at work. I could maybe borrow it
for a day, and import that data to REW. I could also pink out the main room at work, and import the data
to look at RT60 and waterfall charts. I don't have those modules in the IVIE.

Hopefully I'll get to play with REW tommorow.

Thanks again
