I recently bought a Sony PCM-M10 handheld recorder, for "ripping" my LPs. The electret condenser microphones have a frequency response of 20-40k. Can't I just connect the line out from the PCM-10 to the inputs of my Behringer UCA-222? The nice thing about this unit is that it's already threaded for a tripod.

I see - I would need to locate (or create) a .cal file for the PCM-10. I have the RS SPL meter, but I think I'll get better results with the PCM-10. I've been really impressed with it as a stereo recording mic.

I've decided not to be cheap. :)

I already have a Tascam DP-008 that can provide phantom power, so I'll get the Behringer ECM8000. My input chain will be:

Behringer ECM8000
Tascam DP-008
Behringer UCA202
Laptop

Done! I'm anxious to add my room EQ parameters into my Sherbourn PT-7030.
