I like the sound (heh heh) of the MATT test, well the theory seems interesting. I can understand how such a test could give valuable insights into our room and system.

The next obvious question, does anyone know how it would be possible to record the mic response to this test?

Thinking caps on...can it (the matt file) be imported into rew so instead of a sweep that gets recorded it is the matt?

Is there some other program available off the net that would be more amenable to doing this (if rew cannot)? Some sort of data acquisition program already built into windows somewhere which can be displayed graphically with rew? Perhaps the data can be gotten somehow, transferred into notepad and then into rew (from vague memory a notepad file can be graphically displayed...or maybe not. duh)

In any case, have a read and see what you think.
