MANIN ZONE: Connected to a Denon 4520 AVR is an Ayon Amp running in direct mode. The Ayon is connected to the pre outs of Zone 1 of the Denon AVR. Also connected to the Denon AVR is an Apple Tv, and Blu Ray Player. No issues with Main Zone set up.
ZONE 2: This is where the issue is: Connected to an Ayre preamp is a Primare R32 phono preamp. Connected to the Primare R32 is a Project Turntable. Ayre Preamp connected to the Ayre amp. Ayre amp connected to the Denon AVR preouts of Zone 2.
Is this even possible or am I connecting something wrong?
Thanks in advance for all replies.

If I understand correctly you're using two amps, two preamps (one of which is an AVR), and a phono preamp hooked up as shown below:

It seems to me that the only way this can work is to use a Y-splitter to connect Zone-2's Ayre amp to both pre-amps. That would send sound - but not video - from the Apple TV and Blu Ray player to Zone-2. Use Zone-4 if you want to switch video as well (see pg 111 of manual).

You're essentially trying to switch signals without a control center, which is what the AVR is for. I suggest eliminating the Ayre preamp, and connecting the phono gear straight into the Denon; just stay away from the phono input if you're going to use the outboard phono amp. The AUX input is ideal for this. Is the Denon out of inputs? Have you tried to run the turntable through the Denon's phono input to see how it compares?
