I have a samsung hcm4215w which was made in november of 2002. I am able to manually move the red and blue convergence in all directions through the menu, i can get them lined up decently good but they do not stay for long. They slowely misalign, i would have to adjust 5 times just to watch a movie. I have tried saving them after i adjust and going to different menus to try to adjust them. So i took out my convergence board, i have stk392-040 irs. I dont see any blown pico fuses or anything that looks fishy. I dont know if changing these would fix my problem, i dont know which reputable source to order them from. Also i have never soldered before but believe i could do it. Do i just need to replace the IRs or resisters and fuses? lcaillo please help!

I have waited for it to warm up to adjust. This tv allows you to adjust the convergence through a user menu. I can move both red and blue horizontally and vertically. There is also a perfectfocus option on the tv and it does a decent job of aligning the convergence automatically but i can do a better job manually.

The manual convergence adjust takes you to a screen with like 12 boxes equally placed on a black screen. Both the red and blue covergence seem to become misaligned (in different directions on the screen) only a few minutes after i set them. Of course if i set them after the set has been on a while they do still become misaligned. Always when i turn on the tv the convergence is off. It is not extreme like i have seen in pictures of other convergence problems. It is like there may be a blue or red hue smeared off to the side of something on the screen. Less noticeable on some scenes than others but the tv is very annoying to watch this way. Please let me know what other information you need, i value your knowledge.
