I think with Jamestown this is a side business for him. I have a feeling he does not do this full time.

I heard that they were also selling them on Ebay, and that people that bought them on Ebay got them faster.

I sent an email yesterday inquiring about leak time, and material needed, i was told 12-15 days, i can wait for such a good price though as i have been using a small screen for a while now, i can understand op's frustration though. The price seems very good for a nice screen. Do people that have these screens happy with them?

I've had mine for 4 years and very happy with it still. I'm surprise his wait times have not improved but I have a feeling he has more orders than he can handle.

well at such an amazing price i can see why, i cannot afford a 1200 dollar screen, i am the only income in a household of 3 and i am a diesel mechanic, so i have to find the best deals i can, i will wait a bit if i have to for such a good price with a seemingly great product

I was happy with mine... Had it for 2 years before I purchased a new screen. If you are not in a hurry they are a good screen. If you can make your own frame... I would look at a SeymourAV screen. We ordered our SeymourAV screen and were told the material was back ordered and should be arriving in a week or two. Our screen was shipped within 1 week of the material getting in, and our screen was a custom one due to size (some other orders were put in ahead of ours do to the special table being used on another custom screen). SeymourAV is very prompt on shipping, excellent product, and Tech support was very helpful. :T

Ya the seymourAV DIY screen material is cheap. I was going to go that route but have never seen a screen in my life so I figured see how one is done then mimic or modify.

I'll go DIY from here on out.

It wasn't hard at all to make the frame... I paid a little extra and had them install the grommets, and then I made the frame out of T Channel. I have heard others make the frame, and then stretch the screen and install it like a screen is for a window with a groove and a thin piece of rubber. You could also make it the way Jamestown does... Which is basically just clamping two pieces of wood together with the screen material in between ( they cut the screen material to clear the screws. It only took us about an hour to build ours. If you were doing the whole screen DIY... I would think you could make it in an afternoon with no problem. :T

I'm sure I could. $340 was cheap enough and should assembly rather quickly... it's just the two month wait kinda stinks. Good thing I've been busy.

My plans have kinda pushed back with easter coming up so looking like no theater walls painted until the 11th. I'm sure I'll have the screen by then.

Thinking about ordering me another HSU sub so it gets here then too.

Update:

My buddy who ordered on 2/19 received shipping status on 4/3 and UPS is scheduled to deliver on Wednesday 4/8.

My screen was ordered on 2/10 and no response to my previous email sent on 4/2 (which is day 5 of the previous email of the 3-4 days to finish up all business days)

I sent my final email today. I need a response by the end of today or I'm filing a paypal dispute to cancel.

My buddy just had his screen delivered and I have not heard from these guys since 3/26.

My email stated this:

James,

I’m sorry but if I don’t hear anything by the end of today I’ll be forced to cancel and file a paypal dispute to get my money refunded. I hate that it has to come to this but I ordered after speaking to you directly and was told there was a 12-15 business days processing time to shipment. It’s been 40 business days and not even shipped and/or response.

I still cannot understand how an order that was placed 8 business days after mine was processed first and has already been delivered… but I suppose that’s what I get for recommending Jamestown to him.
The end.
