Going a step further than dyohn and agreeing with what he said, you can make an enclosure for any driver. A good example is a sub that I have made with an ultra cheap lightning audio 12" driver. I had the specs and wanted a higher Q since I was only going to run it from 50-100 hz and got it sounding pretty decent in only a 1 cubic foot sealed enclosure. If I wanted a bit more depth I could have increased the size but I didn't need it. I couldn't rattle the house with that sub in any size enclosure though. Drivers are limited in some ways and a good box is not going to make them work magic.
