LOS ANGELES (May 17, 2016) – Written and directed by three-time Academy Award® nominee Terrence Malick (Best Director, Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material Previously Produced or Published: The Thin Red Line, 1999; Best Director, The Tree of Life, 2011), Knight of Cups is available on Blu-ray™, DVD, VOD and Digital HD June 21. Malick’s gorgeous and engrossing 7th film features a star-studded cast, including Christian Bale (The Fighter, American Hustle), Cate Blanchett (Carol, Blue Jasmine), Natalie Portman (The Black Swan, V for Vendetta), Antonio Banderas (The 33, Once Upon a Time in Mexico), Brian Dennehy (Ratatouille, Public Morals), Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire, Rise of the Planet of the Apes), Imogen Poots (Need for Speed, That Awkward Moment), Isabel Lucas (Immortals, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies, I Am Number Four) and Wes Bentley (American Beauty, Interstellar). The special feature on the Blu-ray and DVD is a “Making of Knight of Cups” featurette.

Knight of Cups follows writer Rick (Bale), on an odyssey through the playgrounds of Los Angeles and Las Vegas as he undertakes a search for love and self. Even as he moves through a desire-laden landscape of mansions, resorts, beaches and clubs, Rick grapples over complicated relationships with his brother (Bentley) and father (Dennehy). His quest to break the spell of his disenchantment takes him on a series of adventures with six alluring women: rebellious Della (Poots); his physician ex-wife, Nancy (Blanchett); a serene model Helen (Pinto); a woman he wronged in the past Elizabeth (Portman); a spirited, playful stripper Karen (Palmer); and an innocent Isabel (Lucas), who helps him see a way forward.

Rick moves in a daze through a strange and overwhelming dreamscape -- but can he wake up to the beauty, humanity and rhythms of life around him? The deeper he searches, the more the journey becomes his destination.
