Listing Requirements

It is our pleasure to have you list your Custom AV Installer business here in our Custom AV Installers forum. We want our members to have easy access to information about custom installers in their area... and the listing will also give your business exposure to potential new customers.

Their are some requirements that must be met prior to your listing being approved by staff for public viewing. When you create your listing you will be prompted to complete some required fields. Below are the qualifications:

• You must be a licensed "hands-on" custom home theater, audio, video type business. This means you must be located near the area you service and be able to physically visit the customers home or business to complete installation of products and provide on-going services to the customer.

• You must provide the following information about your business:
  • Advertised Business Name
  • Physical Address
  • Phone Number
  • Contact Name(s)
  • Website Link (if applicable)
  • Services Offered
  • Product Types Offered (name brands are optional)

Extra Benefits of Listing

Custom Installers who have a listing will be authorized to link to your listing here at HTS in your signature once you have the required minimum of 5 posts. You may use our Post Padding Thread to get 5 quick posts. You are not allowed to link to your website at any time (other than in your listing here), unless you become a sponsor.

To link to your listing in your signature you will need to complete the listing and copy the URL as follows when creating your custom signature (remember you must have 5 posts before you can do this):You will not be allowed to openly solicit members in the forums, however the more you participate in the forum by making comments, answering questions and making recommendations, the more opportunity for members to see your signature link, which in turn will get your business more exposure... as well as they will be able to access your website through the listing.

In addition to a link in your signature to your HTS listing, you can use a business logo for your avatar.

Subscribing to your listing is recommended, as we will allow registered members to post in your listing. Some members find it easier to simply ask a question by posting in your listing. If you are subscribed, you will receive an email notification that a member has posted in your listing. Members will also be allowed to give their experiences in dealing with you, however we will not allow members to bash you. We will always require members to resolve serious issues with the custom installer directly and not via the forum. A new member will not be allowed to register to simply make a post to bash your business... we are very strict and do not allow trolling. However, if we receive multiple complaints of unresolved issues from members, it could very well result in your listing being removed. Obviously we want all issues to be resolved amicably, but we prefer this be handled in private.

What Is NOT Allowed

Unfortunately for a free service we do have to limit what we can allow with this feature of our forum.

We do not allow listing of web stores with online sales, this is for custom installers only. If your website also includes online sales of products, you will not be able to link to it. We will still allow your listing, but will not include your website. Potential customers interested in your custom installation services will have to call, email or private message you for more information. Remember, you can not receive private messages unless you have a minimum of 5 posts.

There can be no linking to your website other than in your listing, provided you meet the other guidelines herein.

You are not allowed to solicit for business in our forum. Your listing is for members to find you, not for you to find customers. However, as stated above, you can certainly increase the chances of members finding you if you link to your listing in your signature and post frequently enough.
