Just got 2 Ultra's and am planning on building 2, 6 cubic foot sealed subs. Was wondering if I could get by with 3/4" MDF for the sides, top, and bottoms (with lots of bracing) along with a 1.5" baffle thickness. Or do I need thicker panels??

Thanks!

You could actually go smaller with the LMS Ultra's, my pair was in 4 cuft. sealed enclosures and they played loud and deep. That's the beauty of the LMS Ultra, they don't need a large box to pound out excellent bass.

I just looked in my photo's here at the shack and I still have my WinISD sims.

You can see that not much is gained down low by using a larger box.

I'm using Bassbox Pro and yes, I noticed too that they don't need large enclosures. I might indeed scale them down some.

Thanks for all the replies!
